Barloworld Equipment is offering an Automotive Machinist Apprenticeship based in Boksburg. This opportunity provides hands-on technical training combined with theoretical learning to develop future artisans skilled in precision machining and mechanical engineering. The role prepares learners for a nationally recognized trade qualification and contributes to the company’s mission of excellence in heavy equipment service and repair.

Responsibilities

• Successfully complete all theoretical learning, practical training and skills assessments
• Apply all skills learnt in the workplace
• Complete necessary documentation for the required experience building (Logbook, Training records)
• Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
• Achieve individual balanced scorecard and KPI’s
• Effective self-management and performance ownership

Qualifications

• Grade 12/ Matric with N3 level mathematics and physical science or FLT(Foundational Learning Certificate)
• N2 or higher: Maths, Science, mechanical Trade Theory and Technical Drawings
• NCV4: Maths, Physical Science, Industrial Science, Mechanical Trade Theory, Technical Drawings and /OR Electrical Trade Theory
• Valid Driver’s Licence – Code B (to be obtained before trade test)
